Algebra I – Mrs. Willow Moran
Mondays and Wednesdays 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm
$600 per student for 32 weeks of instruction
Class Description
Algebra I is an introductory course in algebra. It introduces basic algebraic skills and provides the foundation for all subsequent math courses.
Topics include but are not limited to: signed numbers, exponents and roots; absolute value; equations and inequalities; scientific notations; unit conversions; polynomials; graphs; factoring; quadratic equations; direct and inverse variations; exponential growth; statistics; and probability.
Prerequisites – Saxon Algebra ½ or equivalent pre-Algebra course

Scientific Calculator
Spiral notebook or binder with lined paper
Graph paper
Mentor bio - Willow Moran is the founder and president of Logos Christian Ministries, a Lutheran classical homeschool ministry. She is a wife and a mother of three young men, whom she homeschooled for eighteen years. She has over twenty years of experience as a classical education instructor and as a private math tutor. Willow received her B.S. in Mathematics and her M.S. in Mathematics Education at SUNY college at Buffalo State, where she graduated summa cum laude. She enjoys teaching and loves sharing her passion for mathematics and for God’s Word. She sees tremendous value in a Christian classical education, and is excited to be a part of all that God is doing at Logos Christian Ministries.
